Your first Wooden anvil already requires 2 × Simple iron parts. Get this initial supply through the introductory quest, trading or salvaging before starting production.

  • Quest and trading access: deliver the letter from Horadric to Krezvold, complete his request to clear the creatures behind his house, and return with Green jelly. This awards 5 × Simple iron parts and opens trading.
  • Buying and selling: Krezvold trades this material at tier I. The base purchase price is 60 copper coins and the base resale price is 44; check the trading screen for the current quote.
  • Salvaging: breaking barrels and furniture in the Cellar and Dungeon can also yield the material. Do not count on a fixed yield from every object.

Unlock Primitive Forging and build a Wooden anvil in the Workyard with 2 × Wood billet + 2 × Simple iron parts. Bring Iron ingot to craft the recipes below.

Workstation unlocks: Primitive Forging unlocks Wooden anvil, Advanced Forging unlocks Anvil, and Steel unlocks Anvil II.

Each recipe uses one Iron ingot. The Anvil II raises base output from four to five. The Blacksmith perk adds one more per craft; the base output column excludes that bonus.

These two recipes process the material into Complex iron parts. Both have the same base output, while the upgraded workstation uses less energy. Tools and other products are outside this table's scope.

Alongside the Wooden anvil described above, this material builds the Carpenter's Workbench used in wood processing. The following is one construction example, not a complete building list.

  • 5 × Flitch
  • 2 × Simple iron parts

Once built, it processes Flitch into Wooden plank. Combine these with Nails to make Wood repair kit.
