Herm

Herm is the village merchant. He sells seeds and other supplies and accepts quest deliveries. In his dialogue, select Trade to open the shop.
Trade and shop assortment
Section titled “Trade and shop assortment”The selection grows as the shop expands. The following list covers the wares across its assortments; check the trade window for what is available at your current stage and its current price.
| Category | Wares |
|---|---|
| Seeds and seedlings | Wheat seed, Carrot seed, Beet Seed, Cabbage seed, Onion seed, Flax Seed, Hop Seeds, Grape Seeds, Apple Tree Seedling, Bush Seedling, Rhododendron Seedling, Blueberry Seedling |
| Food and produce | Jug of Milk, Chicken Egg, River fish fillet, Wheat, Carrot, Beet, Cabbage, Onion |
| Other supplies | Bronze Scrap, Flax Thread |

You can also supply materials to his business. Firewood, Stick and Board are excluded from his sale lists; Wooden Plank, Clay Plate and Brick are also excluded in the expanded assortments. Do not rely on this shop to buy these building materials. See Board and Wooden Plank for their crafting methods.
Quest deliveries
Section titled “Quest deliveries”The deliveries below become dialogue options when the corresponding quest is active. They are separate requests; the table does not prescribe a single order for completing them.
| Quest | Hand-in | Main result |
|---|---|---|
| Planted and Delivered | 5 × Wheat | Expands the shop; unlocks Vegetable dishes; grants 1 × Town Gratitude and Farmer’s Clothes |
| The Quiet Art | 1 × Roach + 1 × Gudgeon | Unlocks River fish dishes; grants 2 × Town Gratitude |
| The Frill of the Chase | 1 × Lace | Expands the shop again |
Supply and Demand introduces his business and its shortage of provisions. In The Quiet Art, he asks you to check on the twins about his fishing rod; the fish delivery is a later, separate dialogue option.
Plan your supplies
Section titled “Plan your supplies”Keep the 5 × Wheat delivery separate from ordinary trading. It is a quest hand-in, not a normal sale. The Lace delivery is another shop expansion request; the fish hand-in unlocks cooking recipes.
For processing ingredients, see Kitchen Table and Kitchen Oven. The Bread page explains one of the foods you can prepare yourself.
